If you have ever adjusted you preload there is a good chance they are messed up like mine or worse .

IF you use a file you can chamfer the edge of the slot to clean it up .Also matches the rest of the area .Polish by hand.

Nice idea! Mine do look so not so great lol! BTW, Are your roads like glass!? I have mine down one notch from stock and its tons stiffer and my brake dive is gone! What you running out back!? :rider:
 
I'm running 5 w fork oil and 15mm in each leg more of it ,so dont take any notice
of the preload position .
 
While your at it you can get rid of those wood screws with a nice button
head metal thread .Screw straight in .
