Howdy,

:tab Well, not a whole lot of excitement this weekend. The season comes to a close with a bit of a ho hum. Tony Elias and Randy DePuniet mixed it up a little in the closing laps of the 250 race but otherwise it was hard to pay attention to the race. Poggiali won the Championship in his rookie year, an amazing feat that even Doc Rossi did not manage.

:tab Speaking of Rossi, he pulled off yet another win with surprising ease. It is official that he is going to Yamaha. It is also official that Colin and Haga are leaving Aprilia. It is quasi official that Colin is going back to Honda and will be teammates with Hayden, very cool. Sete tried to hang with Rossi and after a first attempt to lose Sete, Rossi looked back to see him still there. After that glance back, Rossi made a second attempt and Sete just could not stay with him. It was all over after that. Biaggi never really could mount a challenge for third place to get around Capirossi. At first it looked like Capirossi might be holding up Biaggi, but it soon became clear that was not the case. Hayden got off to a great start but a few laps in he lowsided out of the lead pack. He got back on but ever got up higher than eleventh or twelvth. Bayliss and Edwards finished seventh and eigth respectively. They even got a little air time while they were fighting for position with each other until Bayliss got around and cleared off.

:tab So now we have several months to sit around and speculate about next year's racing. Will Hayden come out charging? Will Rossi get the Yamaha up front and competitive? Will Colin reintegrate with Honda on good terms and be competitive? Will Sete continue his inspired riding? Will Biaggi ever finish ahead of Rossi? Will Suzuki and Kawasaki ever finish higher than 10th place? Will Kenny Roberts Jr., retire or move on from Suzuki? Will the Proton KR improve? Looks like it will be another great year, I can't wait!

Adios,

i've only been into bikes for a few months, so all this MotoGP stuff looks pretty exciting, and im def. gonna have to start watching it. but it is sad to see Rossi :hail: leave honda... but he'll kick *** wherever he goes.
and edwards reuniting with honda... now my edwards replica helmet has means to justify riding on a silver and black bike, despite it doesnt match at all...
