In oz we can get solo rego in certain states if you have a solo seat and no
pillion pegs .I never carry a pillion ,have no pegs so all i need is a seat cowl
but i'm not paying $200 of a piece of plastic .So

Cellotape the seat

3 layers of 6oz cloth over the seat fibreglassed

Sand and rough shape

Add a hump to make it uninviting ,bog imperfection ,sand ,repeat ,finish coat. Sand again

Paint with black wrinkle paint

Very nice. Thanks for the pics. Have you thought about converting it into a storage area?
 
Interesting project and process. But, from the photos, it ended up looking like the seat with a bump in it. Why didn't you paint it the color of the bike to make it stand out more?
 
Paint may come , it is a big cowl though unlike a sports bike .Dont
want it to look like a plastic bucket .No boubt something will change .

At the moment pillion seat still in place .
 
you and Scott really need to come visit me for a month and sort my messy stock bike out.
 
Scott's work more professional than mine buy a long way . Better get
him to do it , but thanks for the compliment .
