Howdy,

:tab Looks like the rain will be clearing out on Tuesday leaving the rest of the week mostly clear with highs in the 70's!! Sounds like perfect weather for a bike night to me! Same as always, meet at King's Cafe around 7:00pm (or 8:30 if you are Raul :P ). We've been having about 10 people show up each night the last four or five weeks in a row. We've even had some new people show up and that has been cool. So if you can make it we'd love to have you come by and meet everyone.

:tab Kings is one block North of hwy 105 on FM 149. It is on the right.

Adios,

What town are we talking about? Huntsville?

I live near Tyler but I'll actually will be in Jasper on business that day and I was thinking of taking the bike. Will I be anywhere close to where you will be?

I need better directions.

Thanks

Dave

Howdy Dave,

:tab Montgomery is West of Conroe. Conroe is just North of Houston on I-45. Head due West on Hwy 105 to Montgomery. At FM 149, go North one block. The Cafe is on the right. However, unless you are staying in the area overnight, it is a bit of a ride from Jasper ;-)

:tab I had hoped people in other areas would organize some bike nights via the TWT site. However, there are other good sites that are more regional and they do some bike nights (Austin, DFW, Houston, etc,...) This one just happens to be a nice 30 minute ride from our place in Huntsville down through the Sam Houston National Forest.

Howdy,

We had a nice showing tonight. About eight folks I think. Raul showed up early!! Gordon showed up as we were walking out the door hehe. They closed up and turned off the lights and we all stood out in the parking lot B.S.ing until about 10:00pm. It was a nice ride home through the woods at a brisk but clear 50F. I smacked a possum at about 80mph. I think he may have jumped at the last second and whacked my left foot and footpeg, but not real hard. He probably got knocked senseless but lived, unless the school bus heading the other way got him. What the heck was a school bus doing out here in the middle of nowhere late at night?! Go figure.

Hey Scott, try this one:

Raul, Rob and myself went to ride a nice twisty stretch that Raul knows, when we started to see several emergency vehicles in a hurry.

When we arrived at the point of all the ruckus, there was a single vehicle and one guy laying on the pavement, aparently he was the passenger, and decided to emulate those stunt men from the movies when they jump out of a moving car...... and he succeded, only that stunt men don't get severe head trauma (i think) like this kid did.....even Life Flight came...sad stuff.

by the way Rob, I'll be seeing you at Cycle Gear cause I need a 3/4 jacket.....mine gets wind everywhere...bbrrr. :?
