Howdy,
Looks like Friday will be a good day to ride. I'm off and it should be pretty. Standard procedure, meet in Huntsville at 9:30am at my place.

Huntsville, Tx. 77340

Kickstands up at 10:00am. We'll probably run 350-400 miles and be back in Huntsville around 6:00pm. Will be heading out into East Texas again. May try to hook up with a group of Houston area ZRX riders if we can figure out how and when to meet them.

:tab Sure looks to be pretty tomorrow! I'll be heading for the intersection of FM 2500 and US 190 a ways out East of Livingston. I plan on being there right around 11:30am. Hopefully, this will let me hook up with the ZRX group coming up out of Houston. If anyone else would like to meet up, my pager is 936-293-2051 and my cell is 936-293-6107. I'll check both when I arrive. There is a big fancy multipump gas station on US 190 right near that intersection. I'll be in that area on my Red VFR 800 with the GIVI topcase.

Yes, it 's cool out today but very nice! Wish I could have made it, but more of my extended family is coming in from out of town today and I wanted to stay around and visit with them. Hope to get out and ride tomorrow or Sunday, though.

BBrrr.... It was about 52 when I left this morning. Met the other guys around 11:45 and it was a balmy 56 F. Was a beautiful day otherwise. There was a nice turn out, 8 or 9 I think. Made it out to Jasper and back by 6:00pm on the dot. Got down to about 48 F on the way home for the last hour or so  Man, anything below 55 F and I want electrics! I'll toss up some pics later.
Adios,
30 on the way to work this morning. Who needs coffee?

:tab Thanks Mitch. I'll post something early next week about the bike night. It is 7-9pm (or until they kick us out).
:tab "Slow Old Fart!" I think not!! You were up there in the front this afternoon! I was working out trying to keep up with you guys  I won't mention the speedo readings because I don't want any written evidence :-P The wind was a little much at times. Right after we hooked up and were heading North on FM 2500, I came within millimeters of leaving the pavement on a straight section when the wind caught me as we came out of the woods into an open area. I remember thinking, "Going down at 90mph is going to hurt..." Oddly I was quite calm about it and the next thought was, "look where you want to go, look where you want to go,..." Saved me again! From that point on I tended to stay in the center of the lane or next to the center stripe.
:tab I'm still cold. We have no heat in our town house because of our retarded landlord. However, I have the electric blanket on the bed set to cook. Gonna feel real good when I slip under the covers 8)

I probably shouldn't mention that I've had my feet propped up in front of the fireplace since 6pm then?
I had a little trouble on the way home with sun glare but any time that we are riding is a good time!
See ya!

:tab It was so bad for us that at times I totally lost the road and just had to slow wayyy down. I was leading on the way back. Even trying to hold a hand up to block the sun was a wasted effort. It was tough hehe.
:tab Yeah we have a fireplace too... It's gas just like the heater for the town house :-(

Hey Scott,
Sorry about the mix-up when we got to Huntsville but thanks for the company and the lead back to I45. Good riding with you and I hope we can do it again.
Man, are you guys right about the glare. Good thing none of us has epilepsy because that was worse than watching the Pokemon movie in hi-res
Brad and I were getting pretty chilled until we hit Houston and all the radiant heat from a bazillion tons of concrete slab. Toasty!
Nice meeting you too, Mitch. Looks like you don't live to far from Fizzy Brad. He's at Louetta and Jones.
