scenic 390 from burton to 105 west of navasota is a real nice curvy road.
When out fayetville way go on up thru round top and just abit south on 290 till the scenic 390.

To revisit this thread. Hit it twice this past week, well 3 times actually.
To and back thursday in my RX-8, side trip going to austin and lime creek rd and again coming from the east on the busa friday. Actually missed it off of 105, hit 159 north just west of navasota, big loop, great rd, back to 6, BACK to 105 and navasota and THEN found scenic 390. Rd is in great condition and minimal traffic.
well worth the trip. one of the best roads around.

FYI.......

I was South of Fayetville last weekend. The road 'tar snakes' in that county are very very slick. Like they are made of somekinda space age teflon tar or something.

Be careful.
