Pretty wild stuff. I cannot imagine how much cash these folks must spend on their own particular obsession :P

Adios,

The guy met an untimely demise making his third video. Easy to see why. You could probably sneeze and accidentally loop the thing.

Those giant model rockets are cool, but the guy on the turbo-busa, well that is just nuts. Looking at the way those guys rode through traffic and wheelies at well over 100 mph on wet roads, it is no suprise he did not live long.

I kinda hesitated on posting the video link because I don't condone stunting on public roads, but man that's an obscene show of power. At the closing speeds on some of those cars and the poor cruiser rider, things are bound to go pear shaped sooner or later.

I was into model rockets as a kid. Lucky I didn't get shot with all the backyards I poked around in trying to retrieve windblown launches. Been toying with the idea of picking up the R.C. plane hobby. Looks awful expensive.

The speedo on the camera bike was reading over 290kph (180+mph) when the turbo Busa rider went by on one wheel. Can you say "adrenaline rush"?

Oh, and can you also say "thread hijacking"?

We actually got to tour the Estes Model Rocket factory back during Spring Break of 1986. That was a pretty cool place. Of course, we didn't see any rockets capable of lunar orbit like the one in the link... Those guys should go work for NASA.
