I will be arriving Friday for the weekend from Montana. i live in Forney. anyone close by or in the Dallas area want to go riding Saturday morning if the weather permits? I was thinking of riding anywhere in the area east of Dallas mainly on fm or backroads. riding south of ft. worth/arlington would also be allright with me...

Well, I DO need to test the new upholstery on the DR.
:ponder:

Let me see if I can get a pass.

eh? What'd ya do? Pics?

If I can get an Edlebrock for my 400 delivered tomorrow I'm out as I want it setup before 1/28. Otherwise I'm good for a backroads ride. :)

i did not realize i was writing in the dual sport section for this ride.. actually my klr is up here in montana and the bike i have in forney is the vstrom.. so i was more interested in riding on farm market roads and twisties, not really back roads... i can do light gravel or dirt with the vstrom as long as it does not get too sandy or muddy.... would u guys still be interested?

Twisties? Amigo, you ever even been to the Dallas area? We ain't got no stinkin' twistes. :)

S'okay by me as I'd just fire up Emma instead. Only reason I'd back out would be if I can get my carb in. Won't know that until later this afternoon... :(

how about meeting at the exxon station on the forney exit on i20 around 7 am saturday morning, then we can ride thru Kaufman then east generally toward Canton and Edom and Palestine... and maybe stop in Edom at the shed for a late break:-P :-P fast then ride around in that general toward Tyler, Jacksonville, or Palestine... im open to suggestions since I'm sure you guys are a lot more familiar with the roads there...

Pics wouldn't be very productive. I just had them sneak a gel pad under the factory seatcover.

I need to check and see if I can still make this ride. I'm fine with pavement, too.

Looks like I'm out... I've got an appointment at the local Line-X place to have them look at my new skidplate and give me a quote.
