Well, looks like I'm going to go riding with a couple of friends at Cherokee Creek Cycle Park this saturday. cherokee cycle park (http://www.cherokeecyclepark.com/) I believe it is $25 a person for the day. Is is south of US79, just east of the town of Milano, on Highway 36. Or north of 21 near Caldwell if you are coming from the College Station area.
I'm hoping to talk Whoa into joining us. He's been watching the Dakar coverage and is itching to try the dirt again. Anybody else is welcome to come along. There is road that winds around the place that almost any bike can ride, and the rest are side loops of varying difficulty. I wouldn't try the loops on a fancy dual sport, but a skilled person on a big DR or KLR could do all the easy and maybe some of the medium loops. I'll have the spare dirt bike along if somebody wants to give the dirt a try. It's an easy to ride, low seat height, electric start bike so don't worry about it being too much to handle.
Just give me a heads up if you are going to join us so I can keep and eye out...or make arrangements to travel out together.
