Thank you all for attending!

When we pulled into Bastrop State Park, we had 32 riders.

P1C is still a gorgeous serpentine road, even after the fire.

There were a few corners taken too hot on the gravel, and a new trail or two cut in the ditches.

It might have been a little dusty in the middle or back of the pack.

Thank you old_blue for riding sweep. I sure like seeing that 'thumbs up' as you pull up.

There were a couple flats, but the group got together to lend encouragement.

There was no way to lead 30+ riders around the trails, so AustinJake led a group of 13 or so around, a few minutes later I led a group around and I think that Rman brought the stragglers who were 'helping' change tubes a little later.

Log were hopped and rocks were thrown. People had fun and fell down. The depth of a few mudholes was tested, and as far as I know-

No one got seriously injured.

Heck, I didn't even fall down today!

I rolled 69.9 miles today.

I made it home at 1:50, just a few minutes early to let the lady know I care.

Thanks for putting this together. I rode w/ AustinJake for the 1st few rounds. Took us thru some really nice trail. Got to see how the R2 did w/ climbing long hills. So far so good. Towards the end I broke off and swung thru the burnt forest. Sad to see the devastation. I will say w/ the clearing you can blast pretty good thru the twisties. Was glad my MX hauler was able to help a few folks w/ their tires changes. Looking forward to getting out there again and ride another time.

Thanks for putting this together Joel. It was great to get out see some bikes and meet new people. The twisty asphalt road through the park was a blast and thanks to you and to Lonnie(I think was his name) for keeping us from getting lost back there. The dirt roads were good too just a bit dusty. Who's going to bring the water truck out next time?

Got the pleasure of following Jake around the trails. And took about the worst line ever up slippery hill while the cameras were rolling. Look forward to seeing that

Anyways, great day. Great meeting everyone that I met, I am terrible with names.

1. THANK YOU JOEL for coordinating this!

2. Finally got to meet a lot of the fellas that you only know by screen name.

3. I only have a few pics  from today. I'm hoping someone else will have pics/vids. Had an awesome time, and glad i went for the street 50/50 part in the beginning.

4. Anyone have an extra rear blinker bracket for an xr650L? i seem to be be missing a few parts....

Several folks had flats. I had a nail in my tire too. What are the odds it ended up like this???

Thanks for your efforts on this, Joel. It was good to get back on the bike and see some new (to me) riding. Tony ("disbanded") and I rode down and I met with the first group, but since I had a significant leak in the back tire, we decided to skip the road loop for breakfast instead and wait to ride the trails, which is what we really came for. This worked out well, since Trailrider777 was due to arrive late. AustinJake was there when we returned and he was familiar with the trails, so we got a good preview of the good stuff while everyone else was still out on the road loop. After another round with the rest of the group, we hit the road home and I managed to beat the air leak... barely. Good stuff and worth the trip, even if it was hot...

we seen y'all either getting off the bike or back on at your food stop. we passed and waved we rode from Houston to round rock to try out salt lick bbq.

Great time Joel! Thanks for the effort. Hope we can all get together again soon. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VU4dkpm7No"]Bastrop "Big Summer" Trailride - YouTube[/ame]

Joel thanks for the day. It was great to meet everyone. I will never remember all the names but I will try.

I wanted to thank EVERYBODY for the good time today. Wesley, my Super Sherpa Son, had a great time and now "sees why I like it so much". Today was a great confidence builder and about a 10 days worth of lessons, that you just can't get in a Walmart parking lot, and certainly not from his dad's yammering.

I won't be making it on Sunday. That would be way too cool, though. As mentioned to R-man, the only thing brighter than my flourscent shirt would be to see me with my shirt off and a bathing suit.
.

I will post the few pics I got soon.

Really good turnout. Didn't think we'd all get out in that bad traffic in one piece! [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SN9TrVMrKcQ"]Let's Roll! - YouTube[/ame]

LOL. You certainly can't miss that flourescent yellow shirt. :eek2:
Do you think TWT would let me logo and sell them through the site? :trust:

Killer ride, killer turnout. Bastrop Joel Rules! Trailrider77 doesn't know me but thanks for the lift! Park roads were made for twisting, trails will kick your ***, but we need beer.
Thanks for the encouragement while fixing the flat, especially BikeJones, Gary, and R-Man. I vote 200 more miles and at least one more strip club.

Everything was going smoothly through the parks until Hancock spotted a female park attendant and stopped to chat her up!

Great videos!

After Rolling J led us on pavement through the Parks, it was off to the dirt CR's and scenic Bastrop County.

Once back in town we visited the local Ethanol distributor and fed our bikes and bodies and performed a little maintenance before the highlight of the day, the Bastrop trails!
