Is anyone in the Houston area plan on riding over the next few days? I am itchin to go Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday morning or any day after Christmas.
I have owned several bikes over the last 6 or 7 years and this weekend was the first time I had the charge the battery due to lack of riding. I am needing to get on the thing.
regards,
Bill (did I mention ride?)...

Hey Bill,
:tab I may be up for some riding Friday. Only a 10% chance of rain and partly cloudy with temps in the mid to low 60's. Are you wanting to do a quickie or something longer?

Scott,
I am open. Actually Friday works well for me. I am free alll weekend up til Sunday afternoon so if you wanted to make a trip somewhere I might be inclined to do that too. I just need to get out even if its just for the day. I have been itchin to go to Arkansas but figure better wait til the weather is not as iffy. The hill country would work too. I have a trailer that will hold up to 5 sport bikes.
You are the tourmaster so I will leave the route up to you but I can be in Huntsville bright and early Friday......Friday.

Bill,
:tab I can't really do the out of town thing because I am on all this weekend. However, I may be able to squeeze all of Friday off to go riding. Arkansas would probably be quite cold. If you can be here Friday morning at 10:00am, we can do most of the East Texas stuff or I can run you up North towards Centerville and Buffalo. Figure be back here sometime around 4-5ish and you home by 6:00pm. We could make a party of it and see who else wants to come along.
:tab If the weather for the weekend right after New Year's is decent, I have the weekend off and we might do an out of towner... ;-) Perhaps head to Austin? I have several friends and places where we could stay, ride out and back. We are going to be there for New Year's eve anyway. A Thursday, Friday and Saturday ride would be cool. Come home on Sunday. That would be enough time to hit just about every possible road out there!
:tab Oh yeah... are you still using AOL. I see you are actually logging in and posting now. Or are you at work?

Scott,
Friday soounds good. Lets book it! I really enjoyed those roads in east Texas. That works for me unless you can convince me that the Buffalo Centerville run would be better.
Hopefully we can drum up a few others. After tomorrow at noon I am off until Jan. 5th. I may have a few things I need to be around for but mostly plan on riding.
With regards to AOL, I am still using AOL but I figured out that if I use internet explorer I can log in no problem. It just took me six months to figure that out!?!
I will touch base with you but for now plan on being in Huntsville by 10:00 am.

Bill,
:tab Did you have to do anything special or just connect with AOL then use Internet Explorer to browse the web? I have quite a few other AOL users that were/are having the same problems as you. Many of them have since left the forum and not come back :-| Very frustrating.
:tab We'll do the East Texas run. I still have to make sure Pops will give me the whole day off. He tends to pout when it's pretty out and I ask about riding because he can't ride anymore hehe. However, I don't expect it to be a problem.

Scott,
All I do is crank up AOL, once it is running I minimize it and go to internet explorer off my desk top and I am there. It works like a charm.
Let me know about Friday. I am in for sure. I plan on riding a little between now and then, you know, just to keep the battery charged :-D :-D
