Sure would like to print a larger version of it. I think I'll go follow it on Sunday. It'll be too nice of a day to pass up.Looks like more rain next week,so the forest will probably be closed till mid Feb. Anyone else wanna check it out.

What map?
All I see on the home page is a picture of a pirate! Actually, I think the picture you see is random. So you better be more specific about the map. Maybe Scott knows.

Yes, I am talking about the random pictures. One of them is a highlighted map of paved and dirt roads north of SHNF.How can I get that map?

I will email it to you ;-) Do you have a Garmin GPS? It is the track from several of my rides West of Huntsville. It is mostly dirt/gravel county roads. No trails.

Hey, thanks that's great. No on the Garmin, that's my next purchase.I've been looking and listening to which one I might like.It needs to be small enough to fit on a DR, but also have all the download features and I want to use it for my boat and motorhome. You we're talking about riding DS as an alternative for SHNF rainout. I know everone has probably made other plans by now,but are you or anyone else interested in riding backroads on Sunday?

Without the Garmin software you won't be able to pull up the GPS file. I'll do a screen shot of the map and post it here.
I will be in Austin Sunday Morning and not sure what time I will be heading back. The weather looks like it should be nice though!

:tab Hmmm... it appears that I don't have that map set loaded anymore. I think it was the old Roads & Rec set. I can't get the new City Select map to show that level of detail when zoomed out that far. Here is the best copy of it that I have.

I would like to go, let's see how long it rains today. Post again this evening..Desmo, Bagwell are you in? I live in Spring, South of Tomball off of 249 and Spring Cypress, if it looks like a go, we could meet Steven (Desmo) and Vaughn (Bagwell) in Magnolia somewhere. I need to get the DRZ out of the shed, she's feeling neglected. I've got an etrex Legend, but it won't show all the little dirt roads, it will show us the major roads and our direction in case we need it. Right now, Sunday's forecast looks spectacular.

I would love to go. Unfortunately, I have to work a state enduro on sunday. I will be out at Skull Creek if anyone is interested in coming out. It is located south of Columbus on hwy 90A about 200 to 300 yards west of the intersection of 71 and 90A which is directly south of Columbus by about 10 miles or so. The gate says Skull Creek across the top and if its not wide open it will be unlocked and able to be open. If anyone likes, they can come and race it, help work it, or hang out. An enduro isnt like a Motocross race where you can see everyone go around the track. Most all of the course is in the woods and open areas but away from the pit and camp area.

I could meet up in Magnolia or any town south of the area were I could park my truck w/trailer [HEB,Home Depot parking lot]. Georgia or anyone else wanting to ride, my name is Tim, call my cell anytime after 12;00 today. My wife Brenda may answer...832 215 6435.I'll check for more post later today.By the way Sott, thanks for the larger version of the map. I've already pencilled in most of the road names [if there's any street signs].Probably will make at least afew wrong turns w/o a gps.

Hey Hugh
Plan the ride! Got in from CB 11:00 this morning (21 hours, much fog and rain). Ron called about a Blue Bonnet run maybe Wednesday.
