Howdy,

:tab Bruce "Texasmac" Williams was on a trip to Deal's Gap over the Christmas holidays. Here is what I've lifted from the VFRDiscussion website:

Bruce Williams aka Texasmac was killed instantly Saturday Dec. 27th, 2003 in a low speed, single bike crash on our Christmas Deals Gap ride.
Bruce was a great guy and good rider that I had just meet on the 26th to join him on this ride.
I know very little about him other than he was a happy family man and enjoyed his new bike ! I hope to gain some info from others here that may have gotten to know him recently. I know he lived around Houston, TX and was visiting his wife's family for the holiday's near Atlanta.
Please lift up his family in your prayers and share any info you may have. I would hope to send cards and condolences to his family when I find out his address.
If we can help in any way, I would like to !
Kevin

Bruce was wearing Full leathers, Race boots and gloves and a Full Face Shoei RF900. This was a freak accident that most people would have walked away from !

If you would like to send a card or flowers that is the family address. willrb3@juno.com is his email address I am not sure his wife would check that.

:tab I believe his family is still in the Atlanta area and has not returned to Houston just yet. So if you are sending anything other than a card, you might want to wait a week or so. If we find out anything about services, I will post them here.

:tab This is getting crazy people. Please please be safe out there and don't take unnecessary chances. I was looking forward to meeting Bruce on a few rides next year.

I lifted this off the VFRDiscussion.com site: Ruth is Bruces wife.

Hello everyone,

I hope that everyone knows that I do not mean to invade your site.

I am TexasMac's sister. The one who was killed on December 27, 2003.

I was the first sibling to know about Bruce. I am the youngest of 6, Bruce is the 3rd to be born to our mother. To hear that my brother was gone was one of the hardest things I have ever had to deal with. We lost our mother 7 years ago.

I can not express how it feels to see all of the messages on the board. The things you have written are so nice and I really liked reading the entries. Thank you.

I spoke with one gentleman who was with my brother the day he died and it was so wonderful to have the knowledege this man gave to us.

I appreciate all that each of you are doing for my sister-in-law, she is still part of our family and will always remain so. We love her and we are doing our best to take care of her, as I know her family is doing so as well.

Any of you that knew my brother, and you would like to, you can email me at kelikay@hotmail.com I know my brothers and sisters would love to know how much Bruce was thought of, and I would love the chance to talk with any of you.

I saw Ruth today and she has a good attitude and she sound good, and she has a wonderful spirit. She does have access to their email, she will be able to see all of the emails.

Bruce was a wonderful person, very much loved and liked by those who knew him. He was funny, always smiling, laughing. He had an infectious laugh and smile. We will miss him greatly but we know he is in a much better place and he is with our mother.

Bruce is buried beside our mother. His greatest wish was to see our mother again..........

God Bless each one of you

Keli, Bruce's sister

Condolences can be sent to Ruth at this email address:
