I just ordered Heli Bars, and I am looking for a solution to wind flow probs. I had a nice wind bubble before, and I would hate to give up that comfort. I have seen accessories that can be added to the existing windshield but, I can't find them anywhere now that I'm interested. :angryfir: I can't find a taller windshield because, my bike is a discontinued relic of Suzuki's past. Fools!

Anyone? :help:

You might be thinking of a product named the "Laminar Lip" that attaches to the top of your windscreen. I checked the current application chart that's on their website and didn't see your RF900 listed, but you might want to contact them yourself and see if they have a universal style that might fit. I've never tried their product myself, so I can't say how well it actually works. Here's their URL:

Did a little more checking, and it appears that Zero Gravity makes their tall "Sport Touring" style of windscreen for the RF900. Here's a link to that:

I have one of those on my Triumph and have been very pleased with the results.

Cool! I owe you a beer for that one! :chug: I have a zero gravity in the standard style that fits very well, so I think I will order the sport tour.

The Laminar is the other one I had seen but, it looks kind of strange.

Try this site. www.saeng.com They have a few options for airflow control.

Which brings me to another related question.
Anybody know of a good plexiglass shop (in the Houston area) that would be willing to cut my windshield down?
I want to move the turbulent air layer down an inch or two to get my helmet into the smooth air. I'll cut it myself if I have to but of course I would prefer to have a professional do it.

Make it a Pete's Wicked Ale, then.

Hope you're happy with the ZG screen. In my particular case, I had talked to the owner of another Sprint RS who already had the Sport-Touring screen mounted and he didn't sound too impressed with it. I decided to try it out for myself anyway, and was pleased to find that it made a very significant improvement in smoothing out the turbulence, especially at higher speeds. So, depending on what your expectations are, your results may vary.

You might try calling Regal Plastics in Houston and ask if they can help you. If not, I'll bet they can recommend one of their customers in the plastic fabricating business who could do the cutting for you. Regal's phone number is 713-957-8541.

The SAENG Wing-Tips system looks like it has real promise. It appears to work on the same principle as the Laminar Lip, but with some adjustability to help "tune" the airflow to your preference.

Bill used to make windshields for bikes a few years back. You might try
Bill's Plastics Inc
(214) 744-1170

Its closer than Houston.
