Though I would let you guys know I posted my MZ up for sale.

http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8102

I have been completely eaten up with the single-track bug and would like to start playing around with a few enduro races. I have got to get a lighter bike for that, so I am going to sell the MZ to fund that itch.

Cheers,

LOL, another one to the dark side. :trust:

Have to admit, if I didn't already have the DRZ, I'd probably jump on your MZ.

You still gonna bring something to Moab?

One way or another, I will have a bike out in Moab. Hopefully I will not have to sell this bike because it is perfect for Moab. I can ride it everywhere without any legal issues.

Your stil in on that trip, right?

Yup. Notice I'm not at the Roundup this weekend. I'm saving my $ and vacation time for Moab. I don't know if I'll be able to dedicate more than a day to 2 wheels though. M and the boys are going to be with me and I don't want to abandon them there.
We need to come up with a plan on what trail(s) to do. :rider:

I completely understand! I had to ditch out on the Round Up too. Too many conflicts this week.

No worries on the two wheel time, I bet there will be enough time to work it in.

I wil start digging around and come up with a few trail suggestions. I have always though Pritchet Canyon would be a sweet ride. Running it the opposite direction from how we run it in the Land Cruisers I think would be the best option. Otherwise the exit from the canyon would be a REAL treat on a 400lb. motorcycle, NOT!!!

What is the opposite direction? We are in Moab in May and I am planning on riding the canyon. This is one we have never done.

With off-road trucks, Pritchett Canyon is usually run from north to south. You enter via a private campground off of Kane Creek Road, then exit out past Pritchett Arch on Hwy 191. There is a book by Charles Wells that has a good trail description in it. It is titled "Guide to Moab, UT Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails" It can be found in any of the many shops in Moab.

I have run it both directions in the Land Cruisers, but it can be a real handfull running it from Hwy 191 to Kane Creek Road.

I have not researched it, but I am sure there are specific "motorcycle" based guide books for the area. They may recomend running the trail a certain direction. I just thought it would be a little more forgiving running it from south to north on the bikes, based on my experiences running it in the Land Cruisers.

When are you going to be out there? We will be heading out there on April 29th and return May 6th.

BTW- Nothing like hijacking your own thread!!!:rider:

I hear the White Rim Trail is pretty nice. I plan on going sometime in the future after seeing a friends pictures of a trip out there.
