Well, that was my question for tonight. So.........

I took a new SB700, turned it on and to Remote/ChA-1 with a blue color strip held over the head with gaffers tape and stuck it in a ziplock bag. I took that bag and put it in a second ziplock bag just to be sure as well as test plastic layers.

I put the camera on Commander mode, hit my pop-up flash to trigger it then dunked my arm in about 12" deep water in the tub.

Duckie was my model again for this... It's easy this way.

Yep. It works. I tried it on various power levels with expected results of increased or decreased intensity. And the blue filter taped on did as expected in the hue expected.

Braver man than I am. Heck, I'm scared to drop my gopro into the water with the waterproof enclosure. :D

For the post about the Go Pro....no worries. I have had mine down to 100 feet. Just make sure you use the correct back. There should be a ring around the lens or you WILL crack the flat port. The camera will work after a flood if you dry it thoroughly and are lucky.
