So when I got the new KX I got some pre mix oil with it. Now the stuff I usually use comes in a pint container so it's pretty easy doing the ratio. Just dump the whole thing in with 5 gallons of gas to get 40:1 which is what I used in my old KX. The guy who owned the new KX was running 32:1 so I figured I'd just keep it at that for now. So I filled the can up with 4 gallons of gas and dumped a container of the oil in. 32:1 I'm thinking. Last week I didn the same thing. This week I still have about 2 gallons of gas so I have enough to last me the day. I'm watching a buddy mixing his and I see he's using a ratio right to measure out the oil. I ask him why he's doing that since he's running it for 40:1.
Well, he says, since the oil comes in 32 ounces, I have to measure it out. :eek2: Then it hits me, the oil I got with the bike is in a 33 OZ bottle!! Doh!!!! I'm running 16:1, no wonder I got spooge dripping all over the swing arm! :argh:
