Corpus Area beach riding?

I am going to take the family down to Corpus for a few days this weekend and think I will put the DR650 in the back of the truck just in case...;-) I looked around but couldn't find anything specific about off road opportunities in the area - I'm assumign there is a lot of beach to ride on although I have no idea where or what to expect.

If anyone has any information about places to poke around in the CC area, I'd sure appreciate it.

Go to www.KLR650.net. Scroll down to the South Texas ??? area. There is a group of KLR riders that do the beach and are planning a beach run during spring break.

Texas beaches are consider state roads and ALL vehicle laws apply. You can ride all the way from Port Aransas to Port Mansfield if you have the fuel range.

Also: chain lube, salt water, and sand make the best grinding compound known to man! :-)
