I got dropped off last Saturday at about 1 pm at Reliant Stadium. After purchasing tickets for my wife and I, I headed into the stadium to watch some practice/qualifying. After ingesting enough exhaust, I headed across the street to hang out in the pits and view the shenanigans. My wife and daughter arrived before the race, and after snapping a few of them I put the camera away and enjoyed the races. I couldn't shoot anything from nose bleed seats anyway.

And here are a few of my favorites:

Side note: When people say gear doesn't matter, I think that's a bunch of you know what. Last year I went to the Freestone MX with my D3100 and a borrowed 55-200 zoom. At SX this year, I shot with my D600 and mostly my 80-200. What do I think? There really isn't a comparison. There's no Freestone MX on the pro schedule this year, so we're going to Tennessee to watch the race there. I cannot wait. :photo:
