So I decided that I was sick of looking at scratched and faded plastics.
Here's how it looked.

Here's how it looks at the moment. The white is just the primer.

I'm planning on doing the plastics and tank in black and keeping the frame in red.

Right now the tank has a dent in it so I plan on getting it fixed before actually getting it painted. It looks a little goofy right now, but I hope I'll get it all finished up soon.

That's going to look real nice. If you do the fenders and tank in black, how about powder coating the wheels red with black rim stripes??
Just a thought.

Right now it's just krylon plastic primer, but I plan on having a body shop do the actual gloss and clear.

I like the powder coating the rims idea, I don't really care for the black on them now.

Clearly your wife has good taste... not because I have the same bike of course lol

Well I decided just to rattle can it, you know, because I'm too cheap to shell out the cash for a shop. ;-)

Here's the paint I used.

They'll be done curing tomorrow after work and I'll throw them on and get some better pics. So far they don't look too bad.

Ok here's how it looks.

It's got some flaws, but for $25 it can't be beat.

Now I just need to get the tank fixed and painted. Then I'll redo the frame in red, then probably the motor in black.

Thanks, I sanded all the plastics before the primer, and again after the primer for a relatively smooth surface but still having something for the paint to grip.
