Cool! Looks like the weather was perfect! Is the barrel roll just for fun or does it teach a skill?

It was just for fun. The rider Alex was racing can be seen coming back to get another shot at his barrel, he hit it too hard and sent it to the side instead of straight ahead. They were barrel racing earlier but I didn't get any photos or videos of that. The barrel racing is just like the one on horseback and can be used as a skill builder but they were just doing it for fun also.


The weather was perfect, just wish I could have taken part in the riding. I've got a couple of pictures I was going to post but haven't gotten the them to the photo host yet.

Here are a few of the pictures as they were getting ready to do the barrel race, didn't get any of the actual racing but imagine a 4 to 50+ year old throwing a KTM-Yamaha-Honda-Suzuki-Kawasaki-or what ever around three barrels and trying their best not to fall over to give the rest of us some comic relief (or at least the older ones would have been the comic relief)..........
