I am thinking of ordering a new FJR 1300.I live in Dallas and it gets pretty warm in the summer.Has anyone had anyone problems with this model in this reguard.

The only thing I have heard is of heat coming up from the rear of the engine between the back of the gas tank and the front of the seat. Owners of the originally released version simply put foam on the seat to block the gap and that pretty much took care of things. I believe that on the newer models, Yamaha responded to this issue by placing a foam piece from the factory or some king of heat sheild. As far as I know, this is no longer an issue for the bike.

good luck getting one! I am told they are hot items and are hard to come by ;-)

I've seen a few used ones for sale as owners scramble to "upgrade" to the 03 or 04 ABS models.
