Custody Battle

My wife and I have a close friend at church who is in the middle of a brutal custody battle with her ex-husband over their daughter. Even the family court judge has commented that this is one of the nastiest cases he has ever presided over. Our friend is a loving, caring mother who is actively involved with her 4 yo daughter. She needs to come up with some significant legal fees in the next month or two for her lawyer to continue work. Some other friends in our church have paid her fees up to this point, but can no longer afford to do so. Her parents have also exhausted their retirement savings. It is an ugly situation that needs a lot of prayer. Our friend needs peace and wisdom. She needs love and support. Most importantly, she needs God right now. Any prayers would be greatly appreciated. Pray that God would provide justice and the living situation that is best for her daughter. Pray for our friend to have acceptance of the outcome, whatever that is, and that she would find peace in Him, whatever happens. Thank you.

I cannot even begin to imagine what a tough place this has to be for her and him to be in. Without a doubt, it is times like this what will test your faith. This kind of situation can be very physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually draining. I hope this ends soon and in a manner best for the little girl before irreparable emotional damage is done.
