Well after some months of messing around with the jetting on my '06 YZ450, the BEAST has arisen!!!!

Don't know why I did not do it in the first place when i bought this machine. After screwing around for months on the WR, and had it right, I decided to use the exact same jetting specs on the YZ and holy crap what a different machine!

No more starting issues - hot or cold - Hardly have to use the 'hot start" even when doing tight single track riding

No more boiling over when riding tight woods

No more stutter in the 1st qtr of throttle response - reducing stalling..whooo hooo

No more pissed off rider!!:angryfire

So moving forward with the suspension set up for my bubble butt and waaaaaaaay to much power for this african redneck to handle.....this is one sweeeeeeeeeeet machine!

Cycleland Enduro here we come!

Good Job Rick! It is about dang time! Well Loyd and myself, and Mel are going to Marshall Creek on sunday to break in a new bike that is in my garage. You are more than welcome to join in on the fun. It is a great place to work on your turns.

Mate I would love to but I am heading out to my farm in Sulphur Springs, do a bit of fishing and let my kid run around for easter eggs! Have a little barbie and just chill.

So what is the new pony in the garage? Spit it out!!!

Well it's yellow and it is Mel's new Suzuki RM125. She has been hinting around for the last couple of weeks about wanting her own bike that she can get use to if you will.:eek2:

I thought about getting her a KX100 or a RM100 but she rode Ambers and did not like the small size of it. So I made a few phone calls on thursday and got a smoking deal on an 06 model. I thought about buying a used one but 125's go thru alot of abuse from kids who have just started riding. So we will call it piece of mind. So on sunday I am going to break it in for her and then turn her loose. It will be a great bike for her. It does not hit real hard and I think she can handle it. Heck I had a 125 when I was about 10yrs old.

I have already ordered some good protection stuff for the bike. After we break it in I am going to put a fly wheel weight on it to keep toned down a notch for her until she get's the hang of it.

Excellent. I'm glad to hear that she's going to give dirt riding a try again. I think she'll really come to like it. Especially when she's riding her own bike that she's going to get used to.

Sounds like you got a great deal mate and to be honest those 125 are really are a good bike to learn on. Once Mel rides a couple of times on the bike and gets the feel of her own bike, I am sure she will be fine mate! It is a cool thing that you are taking care of ya missus and trying to get her involved into the "dirty world" ha ha!! Don't wanna know what you do behind closed doors!

Will catch up with you on the next round. I am going to strip down my bike and give her a good cleaning, and lube job before I ride next, but hope to be ready for Sat 22nd. Let me know if you want to ride.
