Tyler State Park is nice. Although I've only ever ridden my mtn. bike at the park, I do have a couple friends that camp there all the time and enjoy it.

Well, I was really hoping to keep my 2006 string of pie runs intact but I will have to pass on this one. :-(

I suffered too much verbal abuse during the last one to Kyle that I am not about to endure that humiliation again...

OK, actually, I have a conflict with the Quarter Century Club meeting this year at the Ranch of the Lonesome Dove in Southlake - it means a free BBQ dinner. :eat:

However, my better half (tortuga), the rampaging scooter rider has been chomping at the bit to make a run out to Lake Fork and see what it is all about and this fits the bill perfectly. So, is it OK if she comes without me? I'll try to tell her to behave...

No clue. I was hoping to convince Gavin to come along for the ride so that I wouldn't be choosing a route or leading. You want to camp out overnight up there? Would be a lot more fun (and easier on the rear) than round trip the same day. And gosh, we haven't camped in forever! :trust:

Well, this was my first Metzeler Sportec and I only got 2500 miles on it (YUCK). I ordered a Pilot Road (my first sport-touring tire on the gixxer) in hopes that I'll get 5000 miles out of it. The best I've gotten so far was 4300 out of a Pilot Power.

He came from Lawton, OK! My ST and John and Linda Ellis' 'Wing escorted him to Vivian, LA on his way back to OK via Mena, AR. Sound like he is in for a great weekend ride. :rider:

Here's a pic of the bikes at our stop on Lake O' The Pines. The other pic shows the group from Dallas we met up and rode with for about 10 miles on their way to Jefferson for the night. There were several Goldwings and Harley's, a Silverwing scooter, and even a Suzuki Victory that had been triked!
