Well, it's that time of year again to start going through the billions of awesome images everyone shot this year and choose the three YOU like most. This is for EVERYONE, not just those who frequent the Photography section.

A little explanation as to why you chose each image, as well as a short background story on the shot, and maybe how you shot it would certainly be appropriate and welcomed.

I'm just starting to look at my 2013 creations and have a few in mind already.

So get cracking and post them up to share!

I think my favorite shot of this year was was Miss Hollie. Technically I believe it was the strongest, and emotionally I also believe it was the strongest.

My second choice was shot at Texas World Speedway. I chose it for the colors and action conveyed.

And finally, I chose this shot of three gals with Team Red White Blue after an event for what their participation in the organization represents as well as the organization I'm proud to be part of.

First taken on top of a mountain across the valley from the "Bear tooth Highway" in Montana.

Hey Scott,

I really like Miss Hollie. The eyes are really the defining element for me in your image. It reminds me of the National Geographic picture taken of an Afghan girl in a refugee camp....the electric intense stare of the eyes.

I had too many, so here are three at random:

1. The Kerrville Cross - If you've never been there, especially in the evening, you're missing out on a special experience (regardless of your religious affiliation). This pic is special to me because I took it on one of the few summer road trips my wife and I got to make together in 2013. I was on tour basically all year with very few weekends free.

2. Custom Guitar Picks Made Especially For Me - One of my sponsors is a company called Get Stoned, who make custom stone guitar picks. These were the first set they made for me in 2013, and I took this macro shot of them laying on the flame maple top of one of my Les Pauls.

3. Me And A Few Billion Friends Having Some Beer Together - As some of you here know, I'm a beer brewer of 15 years. I took this pic when I was off the road for a few days last spring. I wanted to get an IPA brewed and in the Fermenator® before I headed back out, and I began the process with the obligatory yeast starter.
