My job is now requiring me to travel out of state. This is taking some time and effort for me and my family to adjust. I've got a couple of little girls and a loving wife at home that I miss.

TIA

Man, that has to be tough. I was just gone for three days and I can't believe how much I miss leaving Beth and Sarah at home. It is certainly a good feeling to get home to them no matter how much fun I may be having while gone!

I always feel guilty when I'm gone for several days even when it is work related. The funny part is the girls have never once given me any reason to feel that way.

The bright side is you have something wonderful to come home to.

Get a different job? My prayers are with you.

Not a different job, they just need help in different areas of the west coast. And it's cheaper to fly someone directly on AA from DFW rather than from another location to DFW then to the site.

Flying home (DFW) tomorrow then off to SFO on Monday.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

Sleepless in Seattle,

I understand exactly. I am currently working in Texas while my family (wife and three boys) remain in Arizona.

I'll add you to my prayer list.

Sleepless in Seattle,

I was a bicycle factory rep when my daughter was 1 until almost 6 (she's 19 now.) I was out 3-4 nights/week 3 weeks a month. Although I liked the job, I think it affected my relationship with both my daughter and wife. That's not to say it was all the job's fault. It was tough for us transitioning back to a 2 parent situation, making decisions, etc. I don't see how divorced parents do it; it must be incredibly hard.

That's not to say God doesn't have you exactly where He wants you in your job situation. Praying Romans 8:28-29 for you.

Thanks for your prayers guys. I was home this weekend and had a great time with the wife and kids.

Price of airfare $472.72
3.5 hrs in air travel
$45 in parking at DFW
3 soccer games & getting to see both my girls score goals is priceless.
