Well, pull me off the list CZ. I just got a call this morning about doing a photo shoot. Even as much as I'd like to go, I need the money worse. Maybe I can do at least one more this year.

That's a pretty neat looking place. I have driven through hico a few times in route to other places. I always wanted to check the town out and see what they had to show about Billy the Kid. They also have the texas steak cookoff there wanted to go when that was happening.

Alert to DFW riders wanting to play on FM 51- this road is now being heavily
patrolled due to recent fatalities. I was fortunate enough to get to speak personnaly to one of their officers. Yea 82 in a 60, CHACHING !!!!$$$
Great day for riding anyway. Ranch House in Glen Rose for BBQ greatness. I think PIE first, Ranch House 2nd for sat. pie run. Lunched down by the river. Pics to follow.:rider: :eat: = heaven, ticket be dam**d, first one in 4 years I guess thats not toooooo bad. Me thinks doing the track day at Cresson on May 1 played a role.:trust: :trust:  http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/5928/im0011049cw.jpg

I'm impressed if you got a ticket on that bike for 82 in a 60 on that road. I wouldn't go that fast even with full on race knobbies and a long travel suspention.

Here's the deal: The littlest Ninja is helping her sister with a garage sale this weekend. Yep, kitchen pass, big time. The weather is going to be great and I have three days, a bedroll, a coffee pot, and a credit card. I've been to the hill country twice in four weeks, so it's time to go to Arkansaw!:sun:

My first Pie Run will have to wait. :-?

I need to go conquer Talimena Scenic anyway; I put my head in my rear and my V65 Sabre in a guard rail up there a few years back, breaking my shoulder. :argh:

I have no plan other than to do a lot of riding, followed by a few scotches and sleeping under the stars.:zen: If anybody wants to go, send me a note.

Anyone from Houston considering this ride? We could slab it up and then return via the hill country, or vice versa.

I'd like to to go. It'd be a very easy run for the 'Wing up 2243, then 183 and then 281. Hadn't been to Hico in years. Used to do computers for the school up there in the early 90's.

Ok, Edit - Going to the New Ulm thing instead... Catch all you folks on the next one!

Nobody has mentioned a meet point for DFW folks to ride down. My wife is waiting 'til the last minute to decide to go - she has been getting help for her back the last couple of weeks. With that in mind, I plan a pretty tame ride down with the option of some better stuff coming back.

So, I plan to be at the Exxon in Venus about 8-8:15 with the goal of a LeMans start about 8:30 and a ride down US67 to PR21/FM200 on one side of Glen Rose and maybe FM203 on the other side in order to get to Hico around 11:00 or so.

So, any of you pokers are welcome to join me. Or just wave as you scream by... :rider:

Oh, I plan to stop and take some city limit pictures on the way...

So this time I have waited untill the day before, and the stars have aligned in my favor...
I will be in Leander at the post office on 183, first thing in the morning.:sun:
(I am guesing it will be 2 to 2.5 hours up there)( So an 8am start out should get there ok)
Any one passing through want to meet up?:rider:

Looks like I'll be making this one (my first for the year!) with Rocketbunny and Skid from the Houston area. Anyone else from 'round these parts?
