What: These are combination of roads forming a route from Gilmer to Pittsburg containing a mixture of the scenic and the hair raising in fairly equal portions at fairly equal intervals. This run kinda parallels US271 on the Easterly side.
Where: Leave Gilmer on TX154 heading east. Go approx 4mi. to fm555 TURN LEFT. Follow 11mi to end at TX155 TURN LEFT. Go 1/2mi to fm2796 TURN RIGHT. Go approx. 6mi looking left for fm593 TURN LEFT. Go 5mi looking right for fm1975 TURN RIGHT (whooeee) follow fm1975 10mi. until it ends @ fm557. Here you can turn left and go to Pittsburg or turn right and get over the the famous fm729 to Jefferson which has become a hot bikers destination located on the banks of the Cypress River.
