Fittysom'n RIP
I saw this in the Bandit thread and heard from Wannabeguru in Northern California. Patrick was such a wonderful guy. He hosted me on the Fifty First Dates Tour for several days and was one of my favorite dates during the whole trip. He is missed.
I lifted this from the Bandit thread: "Patrick was out riding on a group ride on Saturday, and had a fatal crash on his bike. He was flown to the hospital and undertook a 10 hour surgery. His surgery was initially a success, but on the second day he developed blood clots in his legs. The clots then moved into his heart and lungs, and on the third day he lost his life. It is so very sad... Pat was one of life's great characters. In his mid 50's he had always lived alone, and always had a great passion for motorcycles."

I'm also very sad to hear this. I posted on one if the bandit threads and there I learned a saying from him that I still use today, "life happens". May he indeed rest in peace.

My condolences. It was obvious from your writings that he was a great guy.

Very sorry to hear this news. I always enjoyed reading his posts and getting his point of view on things. He will be missed. I found his obituary and thought I would share. Wish I could have met him. He sounds like one of those people that make this world a much more interesting place.
