I always say I am from Austin but, in reality, am from an unincorporated district of Travis County: I have lived in the Steiner Ranch neighborhood for 15 years and have been riding in Texas for as long. Have visited this forum many times, but never joined-shame on me!
At present have an 08 KLR and 2012 Super Tenere ![]() https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...eat=directlink Have had Honda cruiser VT750, FJR 1300 (2003, 2006 & 2010) and Kawasaki ER6N in the past. Hope to participate in this forum more and attend some of the rides right here in Texas. John |

Re: Hello from an unincorporated district of Travis county
As for Austin taxation: we have to pay Austin for utilities and other taxes- we just can't vote for city council members or use city services- like the library- talk about taxation without representation!

All I can say is that when you finally do get annexed make full use of your vote every chance you get. Austin is notorious for low voter turn out and the special interests end up setting the agenda for the non-voters.

Re: Hello from an unincorporated district of Travis county
I just like when you ride along with us as you usually take great "riding" pictures of us!

Re: Hello from an unincorporated district of Travis county
I like both pictures, it almost seems like one leads to the other.
Welcome, you are very close to the county line, thats a good thing. I am just across the line in Hays. We left Austin in '88, and haven't looked back, for fear of turning to salt! Sam Hope to see you out riding.
