BIG BEND & the Hill Country -Feb 29th-Mar 4th
The un-PLANNED Vacation.....has a bit more planning now.
UPDATE:Big Bend it is..... At the end of Feb...(29th thru Mar 4th to be exact) Liteitup & I are heading to (A. Arkansas/OK/MO....B.Extended Tx Hill Country....C. Big Bend....D. or ???) Howz'at for planning?? Really ...just gonna be up to the weather conditions at the time (time is the 1 constant...since Phil has to use vacation by then) My vacation time was approved for those dates & can't be changed. FZ1 & a Wee Strom so pavement preferred. Lookin for 2..maybe 3 more folks who might want to come along for the ride. We have 1 possible already but not sure yet. NO MORE THAN 3 EXTRA THOUGH. I'd like ta keep the group small & managable. Send Resumes to: .....juskidding....lemme kno...if ya wanna go.

Re: BIG BEND & the Hill Country -Feb 29th-Mar 4th
Well....We'reeee Baaaaack
Actually we rolled in around 2:30 this afternoon. The rest of our ride salvaged by some of the GREAT folks here...& on TWT. GUYS.....really HUGE THANX!!!!!!! Dahveed helped by posting up these threads so others could see (Beemer Bob helped by makin the suggestion to me on the phone) Several of ya'll were on the forum with quick replys within minutes of the thread start. It boiled down to MikeinSA & Whiskey Smith havin the best logistics for a tire swap. Mike provided his services (& tire changer/tools) at his house in Leon Springs while Carl (Whiskey) provided a replacement rear tire (which looked almost new to me!!!)...& he drove over to Mike's from Seguin to deliver it!! Halobum (Phil) & I arrived at Mike's around 11:30 or so & by 2:30 we were back on the road for the rest of our trip....That included a stop at Rudy's for some Q after the tire swap....(wish ya could'a stayed for the Q Carl) I'd also like to thank Phil for stickin with me on some pretty boring stretches of highway headed to SA from Del Rio. ...& you other folks for checkin up to see if I needed anything..... We had some great roads yesterday after the fix.....At one point we were on the road to Welfare!!! then before ya kno it.....we're lookin for the blender factory.......(Waring) ....Skyline Drive is the roller coaster ride that'll make ya bug eyed. ...& Center Point/H??? Rd is the less travelled straight shot north to Fredericksburg from Comfort.... Today's last blast F Burg roads were that much better knowin I had a dependable tire now......... ONCE AGAIN.....A REALLY HUGE THANX TO ALL WHO HELPED OR CHECKED ON MY SITUATION (Mike & Carl......hope ya'll enjoy the maps) I'll post some more pics later on......We've got a few here.... Phil's ready to go.... The Fredonia Store A really neat old house in Mason Phil...comin up the hill A repeat of my orig "peepin bike" pic near Ft Davis
