New Member!

Hello all!

I've been more of a lurker on here for quite a while. But figured I had to introduce myself now.

On a quick ride out to the store I came outside to find a fellow admirer of bikes checking out mine. I was in such a rush after having bought a new tow that I didnt see another bike sitting right there in the parking lot, which was beautiful!

After having talked for a while he introduced himself as Crazy/BeemerBob. Having lurked for a while I recognized his name and figured I better come out of the dark so to speak.

So, hopefully Ill be a more active member since the ice has been broken. If anyone is up for a ride, I live out in the Riesel area. I'm a semi-new rider with a f650gs (single)

Ah, you met BeemerBob. Don't worry - as long as he didn't scratch you, you don't have to get the shot. Seriously, welcome to TWT. Very nice bike you picked. We'll want pictures, of course.

There are lots of rides that take place with members up & down I-35 and particularly close to Austin. Just keep your eyes on these pages. Also, be sure to check the monthly Pie Run schedule. The next one's in Conroe, in just a couple of days.

puma13,

Welcome. There are several folks riding not too far from you in the Waco/Temple area.

Welcome to the club, If you avoid further contact with BeemerBob, you should avoid any quarantine issues!!

Nice to have you come out of the shadows.. Do post a few pics..

from Montgomery, birthplace of the Texas flag. And from another BMW rider. (F800ST)

I don't know of the possibly contagious Beemer Bob causing concern, but I DO know he's a great "hugger"!!

Hope to meet you soon.

If you want government to intervene domestically, you’re a liberal. If you want government to intervene overseas, you’re a conservative. If you want government to intervene everywhere, you’re a moderate. If you don’t want government to intervene anywhere, you’re an extremist. — Joe Sobran

It is no crime to be ignorant of economics, which is, after all, a specialized discipline and one that most people consider to be a ‘dismal science.' But it is totally irresponsible to have a loud and vociferous opinion on economic subjects while remaining in this state of ignorance. – Murray N. Rothbard

When one possessed of the Truth suffers from a heavy heart he is susceptible to a more dangerous affliction — the craving for power to eradicate error, to cause Truth to triumph by force. - Frank Chodorov

Where politicians flourish, long history has harshly taught us, people and their liberty wither. Where the state is god and the "public interest" worshipped, individual man will be found bleeding upon the altar. - Karl Hess

The accepted wisdom is that without the state, society would collapse into lawlessness and crime. In fact, lawlessness and crime define the very nature of the state and the society organized by it. - Bionic Mosquito

But the myth of the rule of law does more than render the people submissive to state authority; it also turns them into the state's accomplices in the exercise of its power. For people who would ordinarily consider it a great evil to deprive individuals of their rights or oppress politically powerless minority groups will respond with patriotic fervor when these same actions are described as upholding the rule of law. - John Hasnas
