SOLD!: 2001 Kawasaki ZRX1200R - Katy, TX

Seems like only yesterday I was searching high and low for a ZRX...

...but I don't have room for TWO in the garage, so one has to go.

Up for sale is a 2001 Kawasaki ZRX1200R with 22538 miles. Mileage will likely increase as I'm still riding it. This is a nice example of a daily rider with an excellent engine that's smooth as silk. The bike has an aftermarket exhaust can, but I also have the original stock can as well. The stock can is perfect, but the aftermarket can has a dent in it. Paint on the bike is good - might even be very good - but it's not perfect. There is a scratch on the front fairing that's on the "dark side" so it's generally not seen (that's the kickstand side). Frame and engine appearence is great, and the bike is very clean overall.

The bike is priced at $2900 - which is less than what I paid for it in February. Shoot me a PM if you're interested. This is a great bike and WAY more fun to ride that I ever would have thought! Price is VERY firm. Sorry - No Trades. Have a MAJOR project I'm working on and need the funds.

These pictures were taken before I detailed her, so it looks even better now. There is also a paint blemish on the tank that I'm working to fix. Depending on when you come by the repair may still be "in progress", but it is my intention to have it finished before it is sold. The bike will also come with a set of Colorrite matching touch up paint. The Laminar Lip shown in the pictures will not go with the bike. I'll try to post additional pictures this weekend. If you had listed this six weeks ago I probably would have bought it, but I just blew my bike budget on a ZZR for the wife. Man, I really want a rex one of these days.

I have to say this is the most amazing bike I have ever rode. I like it WAY better than the 'Busa it replaced (and I absolutely loved the 'Busa). The song from the motor is music to my ears! And - in case anyone is wondering why I'd sell it if I liked it so much... It's because I just pulled the trigger on a "last year imported" 2005 ZRX1200R in Candy Lime Green with less than 5k on the clock. I think you could say that a ZRX - in one flavor or another - is gonna be in the garage for a very long time...

The Black one I'm selling is great, but when I first started the search it was for one in either Red or Green. I'd love to keep both, but the garage is already full and there just isn't room for another bike! Besides - I promised Joyce I'd put the money back into the savings account...

We sold Joyce's Mean Streak today, so we have room in the garage for the replacement ZRX I'm picking up tomorrow. As such, I'm going to pull this one off the market sometime next week and send it to a local pro to have the blemishes redone on the tank and fairing. I expect this will cost a fair bit, but I'll still want to sell afterwards. Once the tank is redone the price will go up to match. Let me know if you're interested in the bike "as is" for the current price.

Man that is an awesome looking machine!! I recently bought a 2000 ZRX 1100 and Ive had dozens of motorcycles and this has got to be one of the best and most fun street bike Ive had the pleasure to own!! I think Ill have it for a while! Good luck selling it.

Yes... and No... Well - Kinda...

I really really really like this bike, and yes - it's still in the garage. And yes - I still need to move a bike (or two), so technically - yes. It's still for sale...

Seriously though....

I still have the bike. It looks great and rides fantastic. Took it for a 140 mile ride yesterday and had a blast. It's still for sale - but only if I don't move the Dual Sport first. I need to send one of them to a new home and would prefer the first to go was the Dual Sport - just not happy with it. But if the ZRX goes first, then it goes first... That's just the way it is. Call me or shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Keeping the bike for now. Sold the Dual Sport today, so I'm back down to an acceptable number of bikes. I still have more than I can ride, but this one is a favorite so I'll keep it for the time being. If I decide to let it go it will be later in the year. We'll see how much ride time it gets between now and September and then go from there.

In the mean time... Joyce has a Honda CRF100 she hasn't rode in 3 years. I'll likely move it out next - so stay tuned. Ya never know what's next.
