Noob with pictures and questions
Hello all, here is my new to me 2007.
It came bone stock with a hair under 6k miles. ![]() I have an appointment to have Rick Mayer redo the seat this month and I have a ZG Double bubble arriving in a few days. Mechanically she runs well. I just did a throttle body sync which has really smoothed out the response. No adjustment of the TPS was necessary. From this: ![]() to this: ![]() Next I need to change the fluid in the front forks and change the brake fluid. I have a bit of a mushy front brake. The bike stops fine but I would like better feel earlier in the stroke--I have read the trialss that some of you have had so I am a bit wary of this process. Hoping to not make it any worse. Question about bars--I want to do a straight swap for something that has the grips come back with less inward angle. I do not want to raise/lower/bring the bars back farther, just change the angle. Is there a bar that will do what I want and still comfortably clear the fairing without modification to the other components? |

Re: Noob with pictures and questions
Welcome to the Forum,
& Congrats on the bike, looks like a beauty! Brake wise, you obviously have the ABS version (can see the ABS logo on the front fender too) first thing I would try is a good reverse bleed, it worked very well for myself and at least one other forum member. Spongy front brake thread is a good read, if you haven't read it already. The procedure is quite simple once you are setup, and its going on my annual maintenance list. Good job on the TB synch, the bandit responds well to it. EF |
