Just put this on Craigslist yesterday, my latest restoration, 1985 VMAX with 17K original miles. Excellent condition, recent tune up, oil change, filter, fuel filter, plugs, air filter, brand spanking new Dunlop tires, all hydraulics flushed, polished side scoops, needs nothing but a rider! The only thing NOT stock on this bike are the mirrors, grips, progressive shocks and the carbon fiber paint scheme. 85's were originally an off maroon color, but the body set on this one was faded, so I replaced it with an NOS 2001 carbon fiber body set, looks AWESOME! All electricals work, has engine guards, factory backrest and windscreen, this things runs awesome and is ready for a new owner. I'm the V65 guy in McKinney and love restoring these old muscle bikes! I also have a ton of V65 Magna, Kawasaki ZL900 and ZL1000 parts if you need anything, or just want to talk about your classic. Price on this one is $4000 obo, clear TX title, it won't last long! Serious cash buyers can call or text me at 469-826-9014

Re: 85 Yamaha VMAX
Yep, he owns a bodyshop in Cleburne and paints classic cars, that's how I met him, he painted a couple 68/69 Camaros for me back in the early 2000's. Problem is, he only paints tins for me, he's just too busy and we became really good friends, and he doesn't do ALOT of stuff for me either, just a handful of sets a year. I buy alot of VMAX tins from a guy in Kansas that restores them, and find NOS stuff on eBay.

These are such stunning beauties! So immaculately done, I love them. If that orange one was just a pinch darker it'd be perfect for the Burnt Orange in me

Re: 85 Yamaha VMAX
****, that's one sweet ride. I used to own the '85 back whenIi lived in California and I'm thinking that one had the fastest motor of them all even up to this date.
