Some slick ceramic coating

I snapped a picture today of an exhaust that I ceramic coated. This is a new line of ceramic that I'm using now and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Re: Some slick ceramic coating

A general rule of thumb to figure job cost for ceramic coating is 20 dollars per linear foot of pipe. Add a little for heat shields or pipe that is chrome plated to start with. But, that should be in the ball park for a job estimate.

Re: Some slick ceramic coating

Basically just the outside. It is a liquid that is applied with a spray gun so I can only do so much to get it down inside. The ceramic is mega sensitive to MIL thickness so any place where I try to really spray too heavy can cause issues. The material is 10 dollars an ounce so I make every effort not to waste any or I wind up losing money on the job.

OK, thank you for the response.
I asked, because the company I have used in the past does inside and out.. So was not sure if that was a "standard" or just how they do it.

Black Velvet looks nice. I currently have very old Black Chrome pipes on my shovelhead and they are in need of a bit of love. Might be talking with you this winter.

It depends on what the ceramic calls for. Some are air and others oven.
