Re: Beyond Epic 5 - Ozark Rally, Aug 31 - Sep 3, 2012

Anyone riding out to this from the DFW area? I'm looking for people to possibly meet up with, riding buddies can't make this one because they are already booked for the weekend, but I wanna go!

I don't know if I will have two bikes or just one. If two, then one day will be all pavement.

Re: Beyond Epic 5 - Ozark Rally, Aug 31 - Sep 3, 2012

I did last year. Wouldn't recomend it! Train track runs the length of the site and runs every 2 hours or so. I stayed Thursday and Friday night and then got a hotel.

This needs to be a low budget trip. If you are aware of a better camping area near by? If not I will listen to the trains toot- toot

I plan on leaving on Friday early real early before the crack of dawn. I am going to trailer my DR400 to the Rally. This is a low cost trip, so plan to camp, enjoy freedom of ride. The trailer can handle 2-small motorcycle you
are welcome to join if you like.

Richard, I have your 1st edition guide. Have there been any revisions or tweaks, as a result of last years trip, to the map source files that would be available for purchase?

Hi, fossil.

I haven't made any changes or tweaks to the guide, so the 1st edition is still current.

I think im gonna make this ride but am hoping for at least one full day of riding in the forest with a group. I would like to hear from those that are planning on a dual sport weekend with one day paved and one day dirt as I will be bringing two very different bikes...

Sounds like an awesome experience...
