Re: [Car question] Sticky goop when changing registration stickers

I used GooGone to remove glue after scraping the registration, inspection and TxTag stickers on our cars. I no longer have to have them anymore and no inspection plate on the bike anymore either.

Re: [Car question] Sticky goop when changing registration stickers

Thanks for all who answered! Wow!

I checked my toxic waste shelf and found a bottle of isopropyl alcohol, so I used it to change the sticker on my old truck. It worked pretty well, there was a just a little bit of residue glue that didn't want to scrap off without a fight.

Any time your cleaning some thing that's stuck to glass, with a razor blade, keep the glass wet while scraping to keep from leaving scratches. Keeping the glass wet will also keep glue from re-sticking.

This has been learned from installing new glass since 1982.
