Color matched crashbars for a Kawasaki
I'm doing a couple of sets of these crashbars for some local Kawasaki Concours owners in a powdercoat to match the factory Candy Neptune Blue color of the bike. They look black, but in the sunlight, you can see the blue pop.

Re: Color matched crashbars for a Kawasaki
I like that effect. The wife had a Honda Accord that was "midnight green" - looked black until the light hit it right and it magically turned green.
Very nice effect on the blue - I'll bet the pictures don't do it justice either.

Re: Color matched crashbars for a Kawasaki
Looks nice, the dealer in North Denver had one that color they took in on trade, it is a nice color. It really does look different in the sunlight like you stated. I wish they would've had a blue available for 2012 but went with the Candy Arabian Red. That red also does the same thing in the sunlight, looks much different than it does in the garage.

Re: Color matched crashbars for a Kawasaki
I think your bike is definitely a different year and color than what we're dealing with here. I had matched this color to Farty Marty's bike and it's on the money for his color. Seems like someone said they only used the Candy Neptune Blue for a short number of years.

Re: Color matched crashbars for a Kawasaki
The C14 has had a few one year colors in addition to black, I think the Candy Neptune Blue is a 2010 only color.

How much are you getting for the bars for the C-14?

I get 60 to do the front pair, 40 for the rear pair, or 90 combined if I do them all at the same time (it's less labor that way).

Re: Color matched crashbars for a Kawasaki
The customers are VERY happy! Kevin does fantastic work. The quality could not be better.
Now I need to buy a 2nd bike so I can take my rims off and do them too! Mine is the bike on the right in the two bike pic.

Re: Color matched crashbars for a Kawasaki
You really NEED to take those wheels off, strictly as a safety concern. While you're checking bearings and seals and brakes, I might as well coat them. Tell your wife it's for your own safety. She wouldn't want you to lose a bearing at speed would she ?

Re: Color matched crashbars for a Kawasaki
I agree...but I'm a daily commuter. So it'll probably have to wait until I have a 2nd bike again.
Some day...

Re: Color matched crashbars for a Kawasaki
I've been looking for some crash bars for my 2010 Connie 14 and really like the look of those. Nice work on the coating and match. Do you know where your customers found those bars? They look great on and off the bike!! THX
