2008 KLR 650E no longer for sale

I am leaving for South America in about two months and will be gone for six more. That’s a long time to sit around in the garage, collecting dust. These bikes are NOT garage queens, they have been ridden so they will have the usual marks and flaws. But I would trust either one on any ride they are designed for. Besides, I am not sure what my riding preference will be when I get back. So here they are:

KLR (8,355 miles) $3,500 there is a scratch on the tank and a cracked upper fairing from dropping it on the trailer, that the camera doesn't show very well.

No, at least not until I get back next year. I still have a Wing and the KTM Adventure. I really do need to reduce the number of bikes that I leave sitting in the garage for six months. Thanks though.

Yeah, well the KTM will be making the trip with me and the trailer, well it is on call like; ... ah ... sweetheart ... can you come pick me up ... how far? ... oh ... it isn't more than mumble, mumble thousand miles.

There's a couplple of folks I've seen mention that they would be going to S America. I feel certain there's a ride prep thread on this somewhere....No?

No, but I agree, FJRMike could use the adrenaline rush.

Michael hails out of Beaumont, when I get back from South America, we agreed to meet half way between Bolivar and Sabine Pass.

Michael ... by the way, here is the video I mentioned ... look for the aerobatics at about 40 second and I finally get moving again around 10:20m.

Hey Terry, it has been a long time. Still riding those "friend of fast" machines? Believe it or not, I seemed to run out of "new" paved roads down here in south Houston.

I decided to try some less improved roads and found some folks down here that like the same. And I still get out on the wing occasionally.

Oh yeah, I believe it. After riding Appalachian and Smokey mountains roadways for a few years, it's near impossible find fun challenging rides on the improved roads even up north of H town. You can ride 'em at warp speed but even that loses it's appeal after a while. I've consider going D/S just to get back some of the excitement and challenge again. Enjoy your trip.
