Dear Butte, you have your own bike right? Get on it girl and ride it to the BBQ. You can do it, you don't need no man to follow. Strap them givis on and ride!
I rode all the way to Colorado by myself after I'd only been riding 9 months. Don't think about it like a L o n g ride, think about like a series of short rides. You're smart, plan well, and go!!! MotorcycleBelle |

It's funny, I ordered the Givis last week kind of hoping they'd arrive before the BBQ and that something would work out and I could make it. But what can you do? Besides ride it to work instead and hope it doesn't end up another 14 hour day.

A motorcyclist is never lost, they just took the scenic route. I am leaving out of coppell ≈6-630 pm Friday if you want someone to ride with. I'll be slabbing it by way of Google maps. I know there are a few others heading down at various times from the dfw area. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

As last year, I will be bringing certified Cajun boudin to tide the folks over who come in a bit early for lunch but miss out on the yummy fatties.

Re: Tricepilot's BBQ4U - JULY 14th, 2012
.....& then there was THE PLAN
Ghostrider & myself are going to ride down Friday ..leavin Waco around 10AM & stopping by Green's in Zabzickville for some goodies...& in Lockart for a client visit for Ghost. Whiskey Smith has offered up a place for us to stay Friday night so we'll be at the Fish Fry then be back on Sat for some Fatties & Q. Hoping the weather will cooperate with us & not give too much of a soaking if we run into any showers. I've got the tire on the rim & will get it back on the bike in the morn....THEN we can leave....after I put in fresh oil & filter.......& go to the bank......

Sadly I feel the need to cede defeat. My back is telling me that riding is out of the question, at least for tonight. I may be able to make Saturday morning and still lend a hand with set up/tear down.

Hopefully when I get back home after the weekend my house won't be floating! Been raining last few days here.

Re: Tricepilot's BBQ4U - JULY 14th, 2012
Kitchen remodel has hit some serious snags. My perfect, yet short, window of time just went down the drain…or better yet did not go down the drain…in fact nothing is going down the drain
, except my trip. I am out. I hope to make it next year. |

Re: Tricepilot's BBQ4U - JULY 14th, 2012
My plans are changing. Now I'm coming down this afternoon on the bike. The cookies I signed up to bring will now be fewer in quantity as space allows. Still should be there to help on Friday evening and Sat morning some.
