Talking ***SOLD***2003 KTM 450 exc, 75 hours

Bought this bike last year for dirt riding... Well to date the only riding it has seen, other than the monthly run up and down the street, is my Colorado trip! When I bought the bike it was in need of some TLC, I put new fork seals and fork oil in it, had the carb. cleaned and all new seals/o-rings installed, installed a fan kit, put in a new battery with trickle charge tether on it, also front and rear "Tugger" straps and put on a "fake" license plate! No the bike is NOT street legal, but it could be with a baja kit or some good ol fashion ingenuity!! The bike performed flawlessly for me in CO. (it's still jetted for there), I did replace the rear axle after returning from CO. as the drive side adjuster was cracked. Chain and sprockets are in great shape, the rear tire is new, rode it 5 days in CO. the front is OK, I think it's original! The bike has Enduro Engineering brushguards, rear rotor guard and clutch slave guard.
I'm asking $3000, New price 7/31 $2800 OBO,but I'm open to trades for a cruiser style bike (750 or bigger) of equal or slightly greater value!
Make me a cash offer, all I can say is no....
Any questions call or text me: George two eight one 2 three 6 four six 27

*****As an added incentive to get this out of my garage, I'll throw in a brand new pair of Forma "Terrain" Motocross boots in size Eur 44 (US 10/10.5) and a couple of used Off-Road helmets and all the off-road riding gear I have if I get the asking price!!!******

She's NOT a garage queen, been down plenty, and has they scars to prove it, very fast and GREAT suspension!!!! Just wish I could ride her more!!!! Somebody will really enjoy this bike!!!!!

Re: 2003 KTM 450 exc, 75 hours

Love the fakey license plate. The easiest way to street legal.

Way back when...don't know, maybe its still possible, but you could get a motorcycle endorsement in Texas on your license when you were 15 but were restricted to a 125cc displacement street legal bike. My "street legal" bike was a XR350 with a fakey plate and XL100 decals. In hindsight I'm sure the fakey plate would have been the tell-tale sign but back then the only way to run plates was by radio-and-wait. Of course a motorbike-savy police officer may have been able to quickly discern the fact that a XR350 and XL100 have almost nothing in common except manufacturer.

Sorry, working days, I'm really looking for a cruiser style bike, if I do a trade. My wife likes to ride, but her knees don't allow for the sitting position on a standard or the Wee for that matter. That's a great looking bike you got though!!!
