Re: Thursday Austin Lunch M&G - Billy's - 11:00

I can't ever make these Thursday lunch meet ups. Would anyone fancy an evening meet up? Cruised by The Draught House last night after work and came across 'Pint Night,' when most of many beers are $2.75.

Anyone up for a pint or two next Tuesday at 6:30?

Robb, I don't know if you meant that to be funny or not. It's one of those things where you laugh about it later.

I have Thursday off next week. I normally don't like to have a beer and ride but have done it before (limit 1, I'm not a Harley rider). My work hours are 3p-1a (on work days) so lunch is always good for me but not evening stuff unless it's on a day off. I'm always up for riding and ride to eat or ride to meet is always good.

Call them "therapist" appointments. Then you can use your sick time.

Unfortunately, that won't cut it where I work.
I do not ride a Harley.
I do not have a car, and sometimes I stop off for a brew (or two, never more) after work.

Looking to connect with the TWT community in ATX on a time other that Thursday afternoon, thats all. Cheers and ride safely. Hope to see y'all soon.

I'd add weekends to that. I guess a bike meet up at a bar is not the best idea.

How bout a ride?

Re: Thursday Austin Lunch M&G - Billy's - 11:00

Wait, you said Tuesday and I read Thursday. My days off rotate every 4 weeks so sometimes have Mon/Tues off.

I don't ride a Harley either, have heard they're only good for riding from one bar to the next and since I don't drink much they aren't a good match for me.

Morning rides are OK for the most part being I don't have to be home until about 1:30 or 2:00pm on work days. I like paved roads and some throttle, not much for sight seeing.

Robb, I laughed when I read that but wasn't sure if responded with such response would be appropriate.

Any interest in an AM ride Monday or Tuesday? I can ride until 10:00. The trick would be avoiding traffic, which could be tricky, but is certainly possible.

Who's in?
Who's out?

I'm thinking of just running over to Ken's for a dog/beverage this time.

It is supposed to be 104 tomorrow. I might make it, but I'm thinking swimming laps at Lifetime Fitness might be in store instead.

I might actually make it tomorrow, but not early enough to sit at the adult table. Not that I should, anyway.

I'm in for Ken's ( Love the dogs)
Also, I could do a tuesday at Draught House. I often meet another friend there at 5 or so. They open at 5. So, let's try Tues. Aug 7th.

May make Ken's but waiting on contractors at the house may mean missing another week.

In recent weeks, I have developed a fondness...... no .....a love of air-conditioning.
So I'll skip Ken's till the heat slacks off a little.

Re: Thursday Austin Lunch M&G - Billy's - 11:00

The heat doesn't bother me much, I'd rather that than freezing cold. Comes from growing up in the "south".

I'm working until 6:30 or 7:00am, depending on what time my relief gets here. Been up since 6:30am Wednesday. I just wanna go home and sleep. Gonna hafta say no to both Billy's and Ken's this week. It's 3:09am, still have about 3 1/2 hours to go. At least I have Netflix to watch...
