Re: Pie run VIII: River City grille, Marble Falls

I'm in the "us attendees" category, but it's going to be a day trip for me, so no camping and no sleeping, and consequently, no drinking. I'll have to hit a "further from home" run, and partake a bit.

Hey Chaissos, we'll have to look each other up when we get there if we both end up making it!

Re: Pie run VIII: River City grille, Marble Falls

Im gonna drink till im thirsty again....naw really I was kidding for the most part about the drinking but ive never seen such a stir caused just by the idea of it...of course we dont drink and ride...but after the riding is done a few cocktails or beers around the fire is not a big deal...turns out I wont be camping, staying or drinking anyway as I will be saving myself for the following week and five days of enjoying the Beyond Epic 5 ride....however I may bust north up 281 for some pie...non alcoholic of course....

Re: Pie run VIII: River City grille, Marble Falls

Put me down as PROBABLE +1. Working the night before (get off at the earliest 1am) and Saturday evening. Going to be a long one.

Preference is APPLE (regular) and if not that then chocolate cream.

Oh yeah: This establishment also shares a parking lot with Chili's and a Hampton Inn. Generally it isn't full or too crowded, been to the Chili's a few times. View of the lake is pretty good and they have a large deck area (if you can brave the heat).

Re: Pie run VIII: River City grille, Marble Falls

Nope Bob said they rent ATVs and dirt bikes. Or I can ride in the hack I bet I could wrestle my bike around off road but what's the fun in that when I can rent someone elses dirt bike :P

Renting sure sounds like more gun than tip toeing the vee around, praying I don't hit anything deep and soft. I will have to see what they have when I get out there. I've already established that the vee can take successive drops without incident, unlike myself lol

Hidden falls uses a 3rd party for rentals that requires advance notice. Looking at YouTube, I could do about 80% of the park on my vee, slowly.

That said, anyone wanna join us and see if we can swing a group deal for rentals? 45/hr 150/4hr 250/8hr. They rent atv's too for those not so dirt friendly on 2 wheels. I wonder if they have any wr250r's would love to put one through its paces and see if that should be my next bike. Need something more cdr worthy than the vee.

I'm in. I could swing a 4 hour rental. And i didn't know about the advance notice thing. Glad you posted it. Did it say how far advanced the notice needed to be?

Sent hill country adv rentals an email (calling didn't work) to find out what all they have and if they have a wr250r for rent. Will let you know what I hear back.

looks like all they have are generic Honda XR's and Yamaha TT-R's from scanning the pictures.

Re: Pie run VIII: River City grille, Marble Falls

-IF- they're open, and -IF- I have time, and -IF- I'm up to it, and they have an extra bike or quad, I may go, but that's far too many "if's" to count on me for one. It's been literally decades since I've been on a dirt bike, and about 6 years since I've been on a quad.

They have quads too. Also watercraft. Rates sre the sane. You can also run 4x4s out there if you'd rather be odd and cage it.

Frustrating, tried to call hill country adv rentals and line is busy.
