4 thousand 3 hundred something miles. He said he's still riding it, so it'll change.

Re: FS: 05 DRZ400S 4xxx miles
Yep same as the avatar. That was a loose sand + kick stand moment. It happens.
It has a few of the normal off road scratches, one bar end that has been doing its job, and an almost imperceptible dent in the tank. I'll get some better pictures up soon now that its quit raining. I'm not afraid of people making offers btw. |

Any interest in trading for a WeeStrom? More commuter friendly!

Pics and specs?
I'll admit I've always wanted to try one of those. I am worried about the cast wheels. The last bike I had with those was a CBR. But given that my GSA is out of commission this might be a good time to try it out. The local bike I'm looking at is a nice KLR685. Sent from my Pocket Parrot using Tapatalk.

Re: FS: 05 DRZ400S 4xxx miles
Hey Larry,
If your commuting includes some gravel & a bit of pavement.....I'd bet you'll prefer the KLR. But if the gravel/pavement ratio is flip flopped in favor of more pavement with just a bit of gravel...then the 650 Strom can't be beat. All you need is a set of tires that'll handle the gravel (Tourances,Anakees or especially Shinkos $). The cast wheels won't be a factor unless the terrain gets really rocky (more like a trail). I'm on Strom #5 (90K on #4 & running fine when sold). Although I DO prefer pavement because of the dusty factor....I do also ride some gravel CRs from time to time. ....& you'll wanna comfy seat too. ..A good shield... + Get Sasquatch to re-do the forks & rear shock for an amazing change in the bike's abilities. Hang some luggage on that baby & ride!

Hmm... I haven't gotten a PM yet. Did you send it?
Rod: I've got a couple of miles of gravel in my commute. But the GSA will be running... eventually. So a KLR would probably suffice for now... but I've always been Strom curious so... Yeah. I need to call and talk to you. I've got a few setup questions if I end up with a Strom. I need a map too. Sent from my Pocket Parrot using Tapatalk.

Re: FS: 05 DRZ400S 4xxx miles
I have an 08 KLR650 with 9,000 miles on it. SW Motech Crash Bars, Happy Trails skid plate, Moose Pegs. I really had no intention or really looking to trade but this peaked my interest. Thoughts?

Update: I'm meeting V-lust Thursday for a trade. I'll post up the results of that.
