Sold - Yamaha FJR1300
SOLD!!!!
** Entertaining trades for 1150 GS/Tiger/Caponord/Vstrom** I've got a very nice well farkled '05 FJR 1300 that is not only well maintained but is ready to go for many more miles. It has less than 27,500 miles on the odometer and it is barely broke in. I need to sell the bike because of an old back injury which is giving me problems. I thought I was going to be able to utilize the bike for a long trips but a recent weekend at the 3 sisters left me feeling quite uncomfortable. I've located several bikes with owners that are not willing to trade so I thought I'd drop my price for a good value so that I can quickly replace this great bike with one that better suits my needs in comfort. 2005 Yamaha FJR 1300 Galaxy Blue 27000+ miles professionally maintained 26K maintenance completed last year. Bridgestone BT 023GT tires currently with 1500 miles. electric windshield new brake pads new fork seals Amsol synthetic oil Gaurald back rest Givi mount plate with MKB top box universal column mount for iPhone/android spare steel braided brake and clutch lines 3 windshields. Cee Bailey currently on bike Trottlemeister bar end cruise control Heli bar risers HID lights battery tender Yamaha toolkit owners manual cosmetic snap in plugs for when you want to ride without the side luggage additional top box lock works with ignition key- did not install 12 volt cigar and powerlet plugs Bike has minor scratches on right front fairing and a few on the tank along with a few on the side luggage otherwise in 8.5-9/10 condition bike shown with rack and top case and pictures of bike with passenger backrest. runs flawlessly clear TX title inspection completed in June buy local or fly and ride. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() SOLD! Re: Yamaha FJR1300
That is a beautiful color!
Do you have any photos of the bike without saddlebags, backrest and top case. I Googled for photos but all I could find had bags installed. Curious what the exposed mounting hardware looks like with bags off. _

Re: Yamaha FJR1300
Currently I'm looking at a couple of Aprilia Caponords. If that falls through I'd entertain a well farkled VStrom or BMW R1150GS even a Tiger.

Your FJR is in fantastic condition!
The heat is a non-issue for me. On my former Honda ST1300, I just wrapped the exhaust headers with Thermotec material. It last 50,000 miles and the heat was virtually nill. Very cheap and easy to install! You can always ceramic coat the exhaust headers and ride the bike to 100,000 miles with little if any heat. |

Oh boy, that's a whole different can of worms. Instead of being re posted here and 'hijacking' the thread for this FJR, you might just go read over here some of the opinions.. http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75967

All FJRs are great bikes; the two generations are much more alike than different. Here is the big FJR comparison table noting differences among all years: http://www.fjrforum.com/files/fjrcomparo.pdf |

Congrats, glad this off the market I was starting to scheme ways to purchase this myself and none of those ways seemed legal.
