Re: Crazy Bob’s Toasty Camp out (and Adventure)– Aug 24&25

I'll call them tomorrow about a rental DR350 since I'm already familiar with that bike. I'm going to put in rental for 4 hours on Saturday afternoon. Maybe shorter not sure.

Rental from 1:30 to 5:30?

Anyone heading down Friday evening from dfw? Park doesn't have gates so no worries about getting in too late. With winter coming round I really need to work on forward lighting on the strom. Back roads aren't that fun, even with the stroms dual H4 beams.

I have flight school at 10 which should have me leaving Burleson (Spinks) at noonish and heading down. Since I work nights I get Fridays of so I'd be leaving earlier if it weren't for school.

For those bringing truck and trailer, can you please bring lots of nice wood and axe if it needs choppin'. I think sat we should pick up some chicken thighs and wings and toss them over the fire with some corn and taters

I think I have some wood at the other house, I'll pick some up when I go get the trailer.

Lest not we build a big pile. Fire has been our downfall before

9v battery and steel wool worked well for me on my last camp out though. Make a bundle, wrap it in paper towel, add steel wool to end, touch with 9v battery and blow!

Anybody check to see if the park is allowing fires? Some areas down here have burn bans going.

No burn ban listed online as of this post. Other parks north are posted though. Maybe its far enough south

I plan to be there by noonish, but considering the trouble I've been having with Lyekka, I may be several hours late.

Should one of us load our bike on the trailer and use your truck to pick up the pieces?

Let's hope she is in the right mood this time.

Re: Crazy Bob’s Toasty Camp out (and Adventure)– Aug 24&25

Just a thought, if I'm running a bit late, should I come straight to adventure park? I'm sure there would be a place to park truck, play and then proceed to camp site.
Bob are you going to leave your truck at Inks?

Them Russian broads can be moody sometimes, but that's what makes a trip an "adventure"

Should we make an offering to the Ural? I was thinking of giving her a vodka bath

Yeah, that's the plan. I'm coming from north, so I am going to park first, secure sites, unload Lyekka, then ride to adventure park. I should make it from inks lake to adventure park in less than 3 days.

Yes, I'm sure there is room to park your truck at the adv park.

Burning chairs seem to be the preferred offerings to the Ural gods
