SOLD:VINTAGE PROJECT! 1975 Yamaha DT175B NO TITLE but mostly complete

SOLD to TXrider60....THANX Burt!!

I bought this bike several years ago from a local mechanic who was clearing out his shop before closing it down. I actually bought two bikes...this DT175 & a DT100 which will be listed shortly. Neither bike has a title. They were acquired under a mechanics lein which I do not have.

The bike does turn over & according to the mechanic,it does have spark. He sprayed ether into the carb while kick starting to verify this. According to the VIN number this is a 1975 model DT175B (the B denotes year as does the first 3 numbers 443-1*****) well the first 3 numbers can be for a 1974 also (443-0*****) The engine number matches the frame number. The odo shows appx 7K miles but I can't confirm this.

All key locks match & there is 1 key. The tank lock is stuck as is the steering lock on the side of the neck & the helmet lock. Some pieces are "missing in action"....The complete tail light & bracket...all turn signals..headlight seald beam & various other small bits. (parts interchangability between models is very good on these bikes)

$200 or trades for street riding gear. That price gets ya a genuine numbers matchin DT175 project bike)
Located near Lake Waco

I'm an XL-XXL in jackets...3-4X in most pants...2-3X in gloves..L-XL in helmets. NOT A DIRT BIKE GUY so Street/Adventure gear preferred.

If you read my description..it sez that the mechanic told me it had spark. He did say that the bike tried to crank but I didn't put that in. I haven't verified anything since I bought the bikes. I'm not much of a mechanic & only bought the bikes for part out.

Re: VINTAGE PROJECT! 1975 Yamaha DT175B NO TITLE but mostly complete

Had the same bike when I was a kid except mind had a 21" front wheel. I spent some time in the motor and got it to the point I couldn't keep a clutch in it.

If I didn't have a plate full, this would be a fun project.

Good luck on the sell.
