I'll be missing this week. If all goes to plan I'll be asleep at the meeting time. I've been told I'm obligated to volunteer for storm restoration duties so no telling what I could be doing at that time.

I am so glad the word, "oxymoron" finally fell out of vogue; now I can use it again, and it is the perfect word to describe the phrase: obligated to volunteer.

I know what you mean.

The person stating we are obligated to volunteer is not known for knowing what we do or what our shifts are. Also he must not have read the note sent out asking for non-essential employees that would like to volunteer for the storm restoration duty and the length of time they were to be tied up doing such work.

Yeah, EXTREMELY short notice. I just now logged on (almost 1 hour) to verify my memory was functioning and I heard correctly that we are going to the Shack in Montgomery.

The "other" City Hall sounds good and I will probably try to go tomorrow or Saturday. Maybe Holder's will pick up the slack if City Hall closes.

I suppose we will be at the Shack.
